What is CBD (cannabidiol)?

The unique potential of the properties of hemp has been known for many years. For centuries, mankind has used the possibilities of cannabis-derived substances. CBD is an organic chemical compound from the cannabinoid group. It is found in hemp. Unlike its isomer, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), it has no psychoactive effects. Cannabidiol has a very broad spectrum of activity and is used today in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, supplement and food industries. Find out more about CBD here

Are Encann products legal?

Yes. Our products are legal according to the current EU legislation. They meet all the standards for a given product category. Our oils are made in accordance with GMP, HAACP and ISO9001, and are regularly tested by independent laboratories. Our oils do not contain THC, which is a controlled substance on the list of narcotic drugs. Other products, such as dried plants, may contain up to 0.2% THC, which is within the acceptable standard.

How to use Encann oils?

The method of application is given on our website, in the description of each product, in the “product description – application” tab. for example here

How is Encann made?

CBD in our products is always of natural origin, from selected Cannabis Sativa L. plants from certified crops in the European Union. Our products are made in Poland. We do not add synthetic cannabidiol to our products. Our products are free of heavy metals, GMOs, pesticides and artificial ingredients.

Can I check the certificate of analysis for a given product?

Yes. We are gradually introducing the function of scanning QR codes from our products using a smartphone. At the moment, all our oils have them. After scanning the code with the phone’s camera, you will be redirected to certificates confirming the concentration of cannabinoids, terpenes and the absence of heavy metal contamination. Importantly, each certificate is labeled with a specific batch of the product on the packaging. So you can be sure that a given certificate has been issued for a given batch. You can also find certificates for every product on our website (pick a product -> click on the “certificates” tab)

What are terpenes? What terpenes are in Encann oils?

Terpenes are essential oils that do not have a psychoactive effect and do not belong to the cannabinoid group. However, they are secreted by trichomes – the same resin glands that are responsible for the production of cannabidiol (CBD) and other cannabinoids. Terpenes are known, first of all, for their distinct, recognizable aromas. The most expressive fragrances are given by the pollen-free female hemp flowers, the vast spectrum of which is contained in the trichomes.

Knowing the beneficial effects of terpenes on the human body, it is no surprise that they are also essential to the protection of the cannabis plants themselves. Terpenes act as natural defense systems that attract pollinators, but protect against pests and bacteria while protecting against environmental stressors. Accordingly, some terpenes are harvested for use as all-natural insecticides and for use in other pest control methods. The composition of Encann oils includes a very wide terpene spectrum, the most important of which are: alpha-Pinene, beta-Pinene, 3- Carene, Limonene, Terpinolene, beta-Caryophyllene, alpha-Humulene, beta.-Myrcene.

What are flavonoids?

Flavonoids have a wide range of functions in plants, although they primarily activate the yellow pigments in petals and leaves to attract pollinating insects. They can also appear as bluish pigments (anthocyanins). Many of these flavonoids also protect the plant by contributing to the filtration of ultraviolet light. At the cellular level, flavonoids act as “regulators” of the cell cycle. Some of them are synthesized in the plant’s roots and play a key role in determining symbiotic and pathogenic fungi.

Flavonoids have the right properties to use them at a pharmacological level: they have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and anti-cancer properties. Some studies seem to indicate that a diet rich in flavonoids may reduce the risk of cancer, but there are no significant statistics on this issue.
